Hello!
Amy Selstad is an author, illustrator, and comic artist. She is based in St. Louis, where she earned an MFA in Illustration from the Sam Fox School of Design & Visual Arts in 2026. She specializes in book covers, comics, and graphic novels for YA & middle grade readers. She loves depicting multifaceted characters that feel human and focusing on unique perspectives that deserve more attention. When telling fictional stories, she cares about crafting the world with all the little details. Her favorite genres to work in are fiction, fantasy, historical, and coming-of-age.
When taking a break from the studio, she listens to podcasts about ancient history and looks at cool artifacts online, hoping to see them in a museum someday.
